Junior Horse Rescue Club

The J.H.R.C. has clinics and classes every Saturday. Members are requested to come on as many Saturdays as possible, so they don't miss out on important information. It is okay if some members cannot attend one or two classes, but we ask that they try to come to every meeting.

The J.H.R.C. is only being held in the summer, so if you are interested in joining the team, you must sign-up by June 7, 2008.

The J.H.R.C. is a great opportunity for those volunteers who want to know how to properly train and care for a horse. The clinics the J.H.R.C. vary from tacking up the horse to lunging the horse.

For notices about certain meetings/clinics, please see the Notices page. The notices include when upcoming meetings are, and what they will be on.

.::Important Information::.

Here is some important information that ALL members need to know.

- The J.H.R.C. ONLY ground trains. There is NO riding involved. There are not many ridable horses, and some volunteers do not have enough experience to handle a green horse.

- Project horses are NOT guaranteed when joining this group. Some more experienced members MAY get a project horse, but they are not guaranteed.

- Members are NOT allowed to train horses when the directors are not present. The only training time is on Saturdays during the meetings. If the directors are not there, NO training can take place.

- Horse ground training, is part of the J.H.R.C., but that comes later in the summer when the members know more about the horse. Please do not get frustrated if the team is not moving as fast as you like. The experience levels of the team members vary.
